Joey Bloomfield, Grants Specialist 

Joey started her career applying for grants for the disadvantaged youth of Oakland, CA. Now she has the privilege of working for companion animals as Grants Specialist at Maddie's Fund. Joey serves as one of the first contacts for eligibility and application information for organizations interested in applying for Maddie's Fund grants. In addition, she maintains correspondence with current grant recipients, addressing progress inquiries and grant requirements.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Joey had twelve birds and one cat, but was never allowed to adopt a dog. Now, she is forever entertained by her Catahoula Hound mix, Kota, who has a tremendous amount of personality and energy. Joey holds a degree in English Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
