Shelly Thompson, Grants Manager 

Shelly's specialized knowledge of database management enabled her to set up Maddie's^® system for tracking and reporting on grants. In addition to being Maddie's database guru, Shelly works on the grant application process with prospective grantees and tracks currently funded projects, updating them constantly.

After eight years at leading technology company PeopleSoft, Inc., Shelly jumped at the opportunity to work at Maddie's Fund. "Animals have always held a special place in my heart," she said. "I love the whole mission of Maddie's Fund and the positive impact it has on the lives of animals."

Growing up with six dogs and four cats taught Shelly about the fantastic things companion animals provide: unconditional love, support, caring, and companionship, a lesson that paid off for a little black and white dog named Jack, Shelly's current best friend.
