Lifesaving Award Guidelines
Maddie's Fund® has established special Lifesaving Awards to recognize communities that are leading the way in saving animal lives.
These awards are designed to acknowledge the outstanding contributions being made by coalitions that have already implemented an adoption guarantee for healthy pets or achieved no-kill status (whereby all healthy and treatable shelter pets are being saved) in their target communities and are likely to sustain it in the future. There are three components associated with the Awards: (1) the actual award which ranges from $200,000 to $3,000,000; (2) $10,000 to $40,000 for collecting and submitting shelter statistics for each coalition member and for the community; and (3) $5,000 to $10,000 for reporting how their community achieved its adoption guarantee or no-kill status.
