In this seminar, Dr. Emily McCobb discusses the physiology of aging and how the pharmacology of anesthetic agents is changed in the aging patient. The clinical impacts of the aging process on anesthesia are emphasized along with a process for assessing the risk of an individual patient. About Emily McCobb, DVM, MS, DACVAA

Dr. McCobb is a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist and diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. She is also the Assistant Director of the Center for Animals and Public Policy at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University and Director of the Shelter Medicine program. Emily's professional interests include pain management and stress reduction for confined animals.
