Management and preventive strategies are emphasized.

Stephanie Janeczko, DVM, MS, DABVP, CAWA

Dr. Stephanie Janeczko completed her DVM training and residency in shelter medicine at Cornell University. She has a particular interest in infectious diseases and has worked closely with a variety of shelters investigating and managing outbreaks. She is board certified in canine and feline practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and is a member of the organizing committee for a board specialty in shelter medicine practice. Dr. Janeczko is the president of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians. As the ASPCA’s Senior Director of Community Outreach Shelter Medicine programs, Stephanie works both locally in NYC as well as nationally to help animal welfare groups develop and improve their medical programs.
