Maddie's Pet Assistant App is Revolutionizing Support for Pet Foster and Adoptive Homes

May 2017 by Amber Friewald

Audience: Executive Leadership, Shelter/Rescue Staff & Volunteers, Veterinary Team

Animal welfare organizations, would you like to provide support for your foster and adoptive homes? There's an app for that! And if you have questions about the app, you'll be glad to know there's a webcast for that!

Maddie's®Pet Assistant is a new Maddie's Fund®app for mobile phones and tablets. It allows your organization to communicate with, and provide support to, foster homes and adopters.

Using the app, these caregivers will be able to send feedback about the health or behavior of their pet, receive helpful tips, send photos, keep up-to-date with vaccinations and more - all while the organization gains valuable data and keeps pets out of the shelter.

The app is free, and so is the webcast! Please join us on Tuesday, May 23, at 9 PM Eastern/8 PM Central/7 PM Mountain/6 PM Pacific for How the Maddie's® Pet Assistant app is revolutionizing support for pet foster and adoptive homes.

Leading the presentation will be Maddie's Fund Research Coordinator Amber Friewald, the app's project manager, who will cover:

  • The Maddie's® Pet Assistant website and mobile app
  • Benefits to your organization and pets
  • How the app receives data from your shelter software
  • Caregiver surveys and automated responses
  • Extra app functions, like vaccination and weight tracking
  • How to get your organization started today
  • And more!

Register for the free webcast here

The presentation will last 20-30 minutes, followed by a 30-40 minute opportunity for Q&A.

We have applied for advance approval of Certified Animal Welfare Administrator continuing education credits.

Please note: At this time, Maddie's® Pet Assistant is only available to organizations that use PetPoint or Shelterluv shelter management software. We hope to make this tool more widely available in the future.
