Maddie's® Pet Rescue Project

Maddie's® Pet Rescue Project is working with Maddie's® Spay/Neuter Project to save all of Dane County's healthy and treatable shelter dogs and cats within five years.

Maddie's® Pet Rescue Project in Dane County, WI is comprised of the Dane County Humane Society (Lead Agency), Shelter from the Storm, and Dane County Friends of Ferals.

This Project has not euthanized a healthy shelter dog or cat since its inception and has reduced treatable deaths by 88%.

Maddie's®Spay/Neuter Project

Maddie's® Spay/Neuter Project is administered by the Dane County Humane Society and is available to Dane County residents who receive Medicaid or BadgerCare assistance or Food Stamps and have companion cats. The program is also available to Dane County residents who manage feral cat colonies. Twenty private practice veterinary hospitals and three non-profit clinics are participating in the project.
