Jesse explores how TNR programs might differ depending on who is implementing them, the resources available in a community and the desired program outcomes. The talk covers examples of different program models, the resources needed to start a TNR program and basic program tips (trapping, record-keeping, volunteer management and equipment).

Like many animal lovers, Jesse managed her first feral cat colony in her Brooklyn neighborhood independent of any formal training. Her passion for her hobby led her to become an ASPCA certified TNR expert, and to found the organization Slope Street Cats, where she and other cat loving neighbors could organize their efforts. Jesse is currently the Senior Administrative Director of the ASPCA's Community Outreach programs, and she is clearly pleased to have turned her passion into her profession.
