The Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA) is the second oldest animal welfare organization in the country, the largest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in Pennsylvania, and the largest no-kill shelter in Philadelphia. One of their many successful programs is their Shelter Hospital Program. The PSPCA's Shelter Hospital is one of the East Coast's largest in-house shelter hospitals. It has treated more than 13,000 critically sick and injured animals since 2009 and has one of the country's most innovative forensic veterinary programs. In this short presentation, learn how the PSCPA runs their Shelter Hospital Program and a little about what makes it a success from their very own Lead Forensic Veterinary Technician, Bruce Graves.
