For sixteen years, Lynn Spivak generated media coverage to build community support for The San Francisco SPCA. Lynn positioned The SF/SPCA as the national leader in animal welfare and as the resource national media turned to for information on industry issues. The SF/SPCA was featured frequently in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Christian Science Monitor, the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, National Public Radio and dozens of national magazines and television broadcasts. She also established the industrys first web site in 1995.
Lynn has worked in Public Broadcasting as an associate producer and spent several years as a researcher/writer at a social justice institute in rural Nebraska. She holds a degree in history from UCLA but learned life’s most important lessons from her cat, Percy.
