Take a look into the ways that advocacy on individual and community levels can have a positive impact on treating all dogs equally, eliminating breed-related stigmas, abolishing outdated policies and improving the chances for targeted breeds to find homes and their families access to resources. This program will examine achievements and challenges related to rehoming/rescue, shelter and community relationships, owner support, breed-discriminatory legislation and models for progress all over the country. Presented by Leala Ward-Vinson, Megan Ransom and Lindsey Ortiz of the Love-A-Bull dog foster team, this presentation was part of the American Pets Alive! 2015 No-Kill Conference.
