About Danielle Boes, DVM

Dr. Danielle Boes is originally from the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario, in Canada. She attended the University of Guelph and completed her Bachelors of Science in 2009 and then continued on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2013. During veterinary school, Dr. Boes participated in outreach initiatives such as the Global Vets Program, where she travelled to East Africa to promote animal welfare and provide veterinary care. Additionally, Dr. Boes co-founded the Community Outreach Program, which focused on student learning opportunities and communities in need. However, it wasn't until her HSVMA-RAVS trip to South Dakota to provide free veterinary care to underserved, rural communities, that she really solidified her future career goals in shelter medicine.
