In this session you'll hear from two grant makers, Maddie's Fund® and the ASPCA, about the importance of data in grant evaluation and funding decisions. This workshop includes an introduction to Shelter Animals Count, the national database, and the tools available to animal shelters through the database. Each funder discusses the importance of data in their grantmaking programs and provides guidance on how to incorporate data into a successful grant request. This presentation was recorded at the 2019 ASPCA Maddie's® Cornell Shelter Medicine Conference.
