Maddie's Fund® has established a special Lifesaving Award to recognize communities that are leading the way in saving animal lives.
This award is designed to acknowledge the outstanding contributions being made by coalitions that have already implemented an adoption guarantee for healthy pets or achieved no-kill status (whereby all healthy and treatable shelter pets are being saved) in their target communities and are likely to sustain it in the future. There are three funding opportunities associated with the Award. In addition to the actual award, which ranges from $200,000 to $3,000,000, successful coalitions are eligible to receive $10,000 to $40,000 for collecting and submitting shelter statistics for each coalition member and for the community and $5,000 to $10,000 for reporting how their community achieved its adoption guarantee or no-kill status.
