Jeanette O'Quin obtained both her DVM and MPH degrees from The Ohio State University where she now works as an Assistant Professor. She has over 15 years of experience working and teaching in animal shelters, in addition to five years with the Ohio Department of Health as the Assistant State Public Health Veterinarian.
Dr. O'Quin is a past President of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians and was instrumental in the development of the ABVP shelter medicine board specialty. She has been recognized for her One Health efforts to combat rabies in East Africa and was the 2016 recipient of the AVMA Animal Welfare Award.
