The Thirteenth Annual Community Animal Protection Award was presented to Maddie’s Fund by the Nevada Humane Society. This award is given to acknowledge individuals, groups and businesses working for the improvement of community animal welfare.

2000
American Veterinary Medical Association’s Humane Award. Maddie's Fund President Rich Avanzino was honored at the American Veterinary Medical Association's 137th Annual Convention as the recipient of the 2000 Humane Award. This prestigious award is given by the AVMA in recognition of humane efforts on behalf of animals and exceptional compassion for the welfare of animals by a non-veterinarian.
Hope Award. Maddie’s Fund Founder Dave Duffield was presented with the first Annual Hope Award by Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation.
