The total number of surgeries to be performed under Maddie's^® Spay/Neuter Project during the 7-year period is 39,942. The goal for Year Three of the project is 3,500 spay/neuter surgeries. These surgeries will be performed by Maricopa County veterinarians in private practice and by nonprofit spay/neuter clinics owned or operated by government agencies or nonprofit organizations located in Maricopa County.
