If all non-profits could neuter male dogs non-surgically today, it would pour over $50 million dollars into the animal welfare community. Dr. Robert Weedon, Visiting Clinical Instructor of Shelter Medicine at the University of Illinois and Shelter Veterinarian of Champaign County Humane Society, discusses the technology behind ZeuterinTM, the only FDA-approved nonsurgical sterilant for use in male dogs. This presentation, given at the 2013 ASPCA/Maddie's® Shelter Medicine Conference outlines the importance of training and proper injection technique, tips for successful implementation and real-life examples of how animal welfare groups are currently using it.

G. Robert Weedon, DVM, MPH, received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University and his Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He is Visiting Clinical Instructor in the Small Animal Surgery section of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and is the staff veterinarian at the Champaign County Humane Society. He also serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Contraception in Cats & Dogs.
