Frances Flower has a PhD in Animal Science and has been on the rescue team since Austin Pets's Alive's cat program began in 2009. She will share how to start an evaluation and rescue program and how to keep it going as well as how to get the most information out of your time with the cats at risk. Frances - a native Brit - followed her passion for animals by interning in the States, then studying in the UK and Canada. After receiving her Doctorate in Animal Welfare from UBC, Vancouver she moved to Austin in 2006. She now manages the day-to-day running of Whole Foods Market Farm Animal Welfare program, working with more than 2600 farmers and ranchers in North America.
