Ryan Clinton is a Texas appellate attorney, a shareholder at the law firm Davis, Gerald & Cremer PC and a former Texas Assistant Solicitor General. In 2005, Ryan founded FixAustin.org, an animal-advocacy organization aimed at making Austin a "no-kill" community. Ryan has been repeatedly named a Texas "Super Lawyer" in Texas Monthly magazine and, when he qualified, was named one of the top 25 attorneys in Texas under the age of 40 by Texas Lawyer. He was also a 2009 recipient of the no-kill Advocacy Center's Henry Bergh Leadership Award and a 2018 recipient of Maddie's Fund's Maddie's® Hero award.
Laura brings two decades of experience in non-profit management, social action and community development to APA!. In her role as Director Mission of Advancement, Laura oversees individual giving strategies and a development team of three. She also serves as a strategic advisor on policy and advocacy. She has also sersved as the Executive Director of the Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) and in state policy strategy at Pew Charitable Trusts and the Humane Society of the United States. She has spent the last decade working in the animal protection movement in development, policy, ballot initiatives and election reform, and is the founder of two animal political action committees, Humane Dominion PAC and THLN PAC.
As regional director, Katie oversees animal advocacy across ten states. She works to pass animal welfare legislation, coordinates disaster and rescue response for animals in need, and engages animal advocates on animal protection issues. Previously, she served as the Deputy Director of the Humane Society of the United States' Media Relations and worked closely with the animal fighting campaign to promote federal and state legislation.
