About Rachel Sherinian
Rachel Sherinian is a veteran of restaurant management and native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Three years ago, she started fostering with Austin Pets Alive! and was hooked. After completing an internship with APA!'s Bottle Baby Program, she could no longer imagine a life where rescuing homeless pets wasn't her main focus. Rachel began managing the Neonatal Foster Program in July of 2013. Though it's a far cry from running a restaurant, the customer-focused attitude that she brings to the table has helped her maintain a network of over 300 active foster families. Rachel is currently pursuing a BS in Animal Behavior through Southwestern University. She lives in East Austin with her boyfriend, four cats and a "foster fail" dog.
