Overcoming Obstacles: Wisdom of the Warrior with David Meyer

How can you better motivate the public to take the actions you need them to take? How can you get your staff and board members to better understand you and support you instead of opposing you? How can you get funders to be even more supportive and generous? David Meyer has personally taught Chuck Norris, is a multiple time world champion in Jiu Jitsu, and has used the subtle principles of Jiu Jitsu to build support and overcome obstacles in all aspects of life.

He used these principles to create Adopt-a-Pet.com, the world's largest non-profit homeless pet adoption website. He will share these principles with you, and promises they will have immediate application in your daily work.

This presentation was recorded at the 2018 American Pets Alive! Conference.

About David Meyer

As a multiple world champion martial arts competitor, teacher and published author (having written books, created programs in use in hundreds of martial arts schools, and trained the likes of Chuck Norris and many top UFC fighters), David Meyer has spent a lifetime enabling weaker individuals to become stronger. But as the Co-Founder and CEO of Adopt-a-Pet.com, he has become a passionate advocate for the truly powerless.

In 2005, David volunteered to co-lead the pet rescue efforts in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He managed over 1,000 volunteers and was responsible for saving the lives of over 17,000 stranded dogs, cats, and other animals. David has co-authored "The Total Dog Manual" and "The Total Cat Manual", and is an inspirational and sought after speaker.
