Maddie's® Volunteer Management Apprenticeship at St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center
Are you interested in learning how to grow, implement and inspire a volunteer program at your shelter or rescue? Do you want to engage your community to save the lives of more shelter pets?
Who Should Apply?
These apprenticeship opportunities are for shelter/rescue organization directors, staff and volunteers who are interested in learning how to be most effective at implementing this type of program in their organization.
How Does it Work?
The Volunteer Management Apprenticeship is five days, plus travel. Students will receive five inspiring days at St. Hubert's in Madison, New Jersey packed with information that will provide a fresh and exciting outlook on how to foster hope and happiness for your community by engaging them in volunteer work. Volunteer management is a key to saving the lives of shelter pets, learn how all aspects of a mature program work and how to grow a similar program in your community.
A $1,500 stipend to cover travel and lodging will be awarded to the organization of each student chosen. When selected, students will be required to read and watch and read the online materials before going to St. Hubert's.

Dates and Number of Candidates
Apprenticeship programs will run in January 21 - 25, February 25 - March 1 and March 25 - 29, 2018. A total of 8 apprentices will be selected for March 25 - 29. A total of 4 apprentices per session will be selected for all other dates. Candidate assignments will be determined on a first come first served basis.
