Shelter Animals Count is a first-of-its-kind national database that tracks shelter statistics. Not only can you track the animals entering and leaving your organization, but you can look at your community, state and nation as a whole.

Because Maddie's Fund believes that tracking numbers is the key to success of any animal welfare organization, we feel that participating in Shelter Animals Count is very important.

If your organization is a shelter or a rescue, you must be an active participant (entering data on a monthly basis) in Shelter Animals Count to be eligible for a grant from Maddie's Fund. Generally speaking, other types of organizations (TNR, non-profit veterinary clinic, sanctuary, etc.) do not qualify to participate in Shelter Animals Count. If your grant is approved, you will be required to join the Maddie's Fund Coalition in Shelter Animals Count.
