Rubert was pulled from East County Animal Shelter and had multiple masses on his side and shoulder area, ear infections in both ears, and dental disease. Even with these maladies, he was a gentle, goofy giant! We discovered he also had hypothyroidism, requiring him to take medications for the rest of his life. He went to a wonderful foster home to wait for his dental procedure and biopsy of his masses which were found to be benign. Although his foster family wasn't sure they were ready for another dog after recently losing their own, Rupert charmed his way into their hearts and they adopted him!
