(Pleasanton, CA)– Thanks to Maddie, the sweet Miniature Schnauzer who brought her family tremendous joy, the non-profit organization Maddie’s Fund® is proud to bring the 2015 Maddie's® Pet Adoption Days to selected geographic counties in California, Nevada and Wisconsin on Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31, 2015.

Maddie's® Pet Adoption Days is a two-day, fee-waived collaborative effort of countless people trying to save the lives of shelter animals, a testament to what can be done when people come together and rally for a common cause. This year, participating groups within selected counties of the San Francisco Bay Area, Washoe County, NV and Dane County, WI will come together with one goal: to empty the shelters. For each pet adopted, Maddie's Fund gives participating shelters from $200 to $2,500. This funding enables the shelters and rescue groups to save and treat more animals throughout the year, all thanks to the love of one little dog, Maddie.

"Thanks to Maddie and her inspiration, we have supported the adoptions of more than 31,000 homeless dogs and cats since this program’s inception in 2010," said Dave Duffield, Maddie’s Fund founder. "With your help, we are excited to empty the shelters!"

We invite the public to visit the various adoption locations. For a complete list and to see the available pets, go to Adopt.MaddiesFund.org.

About Maddie's Fund

Dave and Cheryl Duffield established Maddie's Fund®, their family foundation, in 1994. It is the fulfillment of a promise to their dog, Maddie, who provided them much joy over ten years and continues to inspire us today.

The Foundation has awarded over $313 million in grants toward increased community collaborations and live outcomes, pioneering shelter medicine education, establishing foster care as a standard across the U.S. and driving innovation in access to care. Maddie's Fund proudly offers the industry a national voice, important funding opportunities for bold ideas, learning resources and access to collaborate and share innovative solutions.

The Foundation invests its resources in a commitment to keeping pets and people together, creating a safety net of care for animals in need, removing barriers and operating within a culture of inclusiveness and humility. All Thanks to Maddie.
