
This collaboration brings together multiple organizations to expand access-to-care services in Pima County. The pilot program partnership is designed to strengthen local support systems and help pets remain with their families and serve as a model for communities across the country.
Total Grants to Date: $1,920,000 since 2025
- Partners include Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA), Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) and Friends of PACC
- Funding supports development of a behavioral training center at HSSA, expansion of PACC’s Pet Support Center, creation of an Access to Care Alliance, and additional veterinary staffing
- The collaboration is intended to expand safety-net services across the community
- As of May 2026, 507 dogs and cats had received support through the collaboration
