
SF SPCA is a long-term partner whose work spans adoption, access to care, workforce development, and community-based veterinary support. Recent investments focus on expanding access to care and building capacity in San Francisco, San Joaquin and Tulare Counties in California.

- Community Medicine Education Program (CoMET Program) helps reduce barriers to entry into the animal well-being field while providing paid training and career pathways
- As of August 2025, CoMET had graduated 16 interns, 9 of whom were hired by SF SPCA
- Community Ambassadors Program aims to help 9,300 animals over three years (2024 – 2027) in San Francisco and Stockton
- In San Francisco, teams have helped 1,438 animals access care as of February 2026
- In Stockton, the program has provided care for dogs through mobile vaccine clinics, home visits, and outreach - Cornerstone Animal Center, an affordable, preventive veterinary clinic located within the Visalia PetSmart in Tulare County, opened in Spring 2026
