The University of Wisconsin-Madison partnership supports shelter medicine education and fellowships, disease outbreak response, and clinical training. It also connects closely with the growth of WisCARES.
Total Grants to Date: $7,494,510 since 2002
- Support has included funding for clinical instructors, fellows, residents, interns, coursework, clinical rotations and disease outbreak response
- The program is recognized for leadership in shelter disease outbreak response nationwide
- Maddie’s Fund has supported both educational capacity and field response work
